In February of 2017, Dr. Kedrowski led a really fun an exciting expedition to Carstenz Pyramid, on Papua New Guinea. At 16,024'/4884m the limestone giant is considered one of the seven continental summits and highest in Indonesia/Oceania and Australia. A seven day trek just to get to basecamp was required followed by a technical climb of the limestone spire. We could see the ocean from the summit. Check out the latest episode of Tomer's Trails on KDVR Fox 31 Denver/ KWGN 2 for the highlights of the climb.
